Goings on
December 18, 2008What a busy few weeks it has been! I’ve had assessments at school, my birthday has been and gone (with much celebration!), the term has ended and here we are at the start of the holidays with my performance in Flare Dance Company’s Metamorphosis less than 2 weeks away. So many things have gone on in my mind lately that it feels like I’ve done more than I have. I have been pondering the question of “what to do next year” as term 4 is so close and such a short term, that the end of my amazing year of dance is almost at an end. Of course, the fourth term will be a busy one with more teaching assessments and then exams at the end of term as well as a performance in November which I have decided to participate in. I’ve been happily teaching my weekly beginner ballet class and I’ve been assured of much more teaching work when I finish studying, starting with Summer School 2009. For a while I doubted my suitability as a dance teacher and had some low weeks but was told very sweetly recently by some of my co-students that I am their favourite teacher! That really raised my spirits and my self-confidence. I’m currently working on a very exciting project – the redesign of the Dance Factory website. I really can’t wait to see it up and running and serving the students and the school so much better than the current one does.
